Tips on Sufism from Saidina Ali

Bismillah.

Shaykh Hisham Kabbani spoke at one of his stops in South East Asia Tour 2009, on four elements of Sufism as expounded by Saidina Ali:
1. If you want to be a Sufi, keep silent, do not talk.
2. Listen to what people have to say.
3. Observe or watch how people react to one another.
4. Then you make your move. Then you'll know where you are going to put your feet.

Sufism during the old days used to be a reality without a name but sadly now it is a name without a reality. To be a Sufi essentially means to have a pure heart until you become so transparent that when people look at you, they see themselves because you are like a mirror reflecting others in you.
O son, by all means, polish yourself and be a Sufi!
