Reflections & Resolutions

Bismillah.

Alhamdulillah wa shukrulillah, Lisan al-Din will be 1 year old tomorrow, 9 April 2010. Bi-iznillah.
Alhamdulillah wa shukrulillah for everything - for this tranquil space, for the khatir maliki (Angelic whisperings), khatir Rabbani (Lordly whisperings) and the barakah from Shuyukhs both known and unknown, who had all inspired this sharing called 'Lisan al-Din'. May I be forgiven, for it surely does not do justice to the original Lisan al-Din published circa 1912 by its founder, the venerated Shaykh Ahmad ibn Mustafa al-Alawi (1869 - 1934). This influential and honorable master was from the Shadhillia Darqawiya Alawiya Tariqa. As a novice, all I hope for is his continued blessing and love as I depend on the barakah from my guides and all other mashaikh as well. InshaAllah

For the record, I was a follower of Naqshbandi-Khalidiah when this online version of Lisan al-Din was initiated. About a month afterward, I took bay'at with the Naqshbandi 'Aliya Tariqa. I could also identify with the Shadhilli Tariqa and Ahmadiah/Idrisiah Tariqa because I have received ijazah to practice a couple of wirids and zikr from gurus who belong with these tariqas. Alhamdulillah for everything. So I will reiterate that I am an ardent supporter of all branches of Tariqa (InshaAllah) because they all go back to our master Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. With his shafaat, may Allah make it easy for us to practice all knowledge that He has granted us because we will be questioned if we don't or if we withhold any knowledge? May Allah forgive our shortcomings. Ameen.

I will stress again here that we need to have gurus and to join tariqa so we could have a proper spiritual bonding with our master Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. Our gurus will be able to take us to the presence of Rasulullah bi-iznillah. We are nothing without our spiritual guides. Their barakah is of utmost importance because our amal (religious practices) are not only insufficient but tainted. Alhamdulillah I must say that the salawat/wirid that I have been fortunate to learn from extraordinary mu'aleem/habib are the ones that leave a significant impact on the soul. That is why it broke my heart when some people tried to stop me from sharing certain 'classified' recitations practiced by certain awliya.

Moving ahead, just like everyone else, I only wish to be steadfast as I aim to dream of the Prophet s.a.w. bi-iznillah. I also wish to knock on one awliya's door. I will not fly thousands of miles to meet any other men but one special man who lives here. I know great blessings await inside, a great opening to new frontiers and most of all love, pure love.

The owner of this house will heal my heart. InshaAllah. I need healing from his tender hands for I have collected a fair share of cuts and bruises having been exposed on the internet for quite a while now. There were men who tried to get close under the pretext of spirituality. But it didn't take them long to confess what they intended to do behind closed doors. These people claimed to love the Prophet and yet they preferred zina over marriage. They could speak about going against the sharia and following sunnah in the same breath!
Astaghfirullah. Astaghfirullah. Astaghfirullah.

Mawla Shaykh ad Darqawi said:
"So long as you consort with worldly people, you will never smell the perfume of the Spirit in them; you will only smell the smell of sweat, and this is because they have been enslaved by sensuality; it has taken possession of their hearts and their limbs...
And yet many are they who have freed themselves from sensuality in order to plunge into the Spirit for the rest of their lives (may God be pleased with them and let us profit from their blessing, Ameen, Ameen Ameen.)"

May Allah forgive us all.
May Allah protect us from hypocrisy.
May Allah enjoin us with the righteous.
May Allah keep us on the Straight Path.
May Allah grant us husnul khatimah.
Ameen Allahumma Ameen.
