Be a sunnah food consumer | Sunnah Food Campaign - Video Competition (SFCVC)

Bismillah.

Allahumma salli ala Sayyidina Muhammad
HabibburRahman
Ada dama yakun wama qad kan

I know many of you already know the fact that watermelons, dates and pumpkins are some of the Sunnah fruits consumed by Prophet Muhammad salallah alaihi wasalam.

But this faqir is obliged to mention it here because she had obtained ijazah from Shaykh Muhammad Daniel on Kitab As-Syamail Al-Muhammadiyah by Imam Tirmidhi. Shaykh Muhammad Daniel is a musnid from Britain. A musnid is one who obtains ijazah/sanad on the Islamic sciences that traced back to the Prophet salallah alaihi wasalam. The shaykh has studied and has been granted ijazah from over 400 scholars.

Kitab As-Syamail mentions one of the hadith narrated by Aishah radhiallahuanha that Rasulullah salallah alaihi wasalam used to eat watermelons and young dates. There are four chapters in the kitab describing the fruits, foods, breads and drinks of Rasulullah salallah alaihi wasalam.

Bismillah: Exa Publishing, Al Falah TV YouTube channel and a couple of partners/sponsors will be running a Sunnah Food Campaign - Video Competition (SFCVC) in the near future. Insya Allah.

Look out for the official launch of the competition in order to get detail information on entry requirements, selection criteria and prizes to be won. Do take note that one of the key requirements is that participant must study Kitab As-Syamail Al-Muhammadiyah from any authorized guru who has sanad and must show proof in the form of ijazah.

Because you are a reader/visitor of Lisan al-Din blog, you get to hear about this competition ahead of time so you can put on your thinking cap and get cracking.

Today, I consumed pumpkin bread and rock melon. Not sure if these count as sunnah food. But I sure thought of the Prophet salallah alaihiwasalam today.
