Yesterday we were at Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) held at KL Convention Center. We were there to do a promo video for the Sunnah Food Campaign Video Competition (SFCVC). The recording took about 20 minutes only but we spent three hours checking on the wide variety of halal foods.
Fell in love with: Dates syrup from Malaysia, Palestinian honey, sparkling dates drinks from Thailand, Cape Cookies from Cape Town and marinades/sauces by HQ Foods, also from Cape Town, and smoked butter from Japan. Yes, smoked butter.
Palestinian honey and honey premixed with black seeds/habatus sauda.
My heart sank for a second when the gentlemen told me
they were leaving for Palestine tomorrow.
Can't imagine them going back to hard realities
BEV - Sparkling dates drinks from Bangkok, Thailand
HQ Foods from Cape Town has got delicious marinades/sauces
loaded with unique taste of South Africa
Cape Cookies. Two thumbs up!
Regret I didn't buy more of these.
Liquid Rock Candy from Iran
Makes a perfect drink on a hot summer day or night ; )
Dates Syrup by Gurun Emas from Malaysia.
The founder of this brand is a Chinese Malaysian who was
intrigued by dates when he was studying in the States,
thanks to his Iranian, Algerian and Palestinian college mates.
Dates syrup is a MUST try!
It's 1.10 a.m. Sunday.
Signing off and going to grab more Cape Cookies before I sleep. Not a good habit. But who says I am a good girl?!
