Unmasking Tuesday | Take time to be quiet

Bismillah.

"Sitting quietly, doing nothing, not knowing what is next and not concerned with what was or what may be next, a new mind is operating that is not connected with the conditioned past and yet perceives and understands the whole mechanism of conditioning. It is the unmasking of the self, that is nothing but masks - images, memories of past experiences, fears, hopes, and the ceaseless demand to be something or become somebody." - Toni Packer

Toni Packer according to Wiki is an American "meditative inquiry" teacher (1927-2013).
Ahah! Another dead person whom I can relate too. LOL.

Yes, it's good to find time to just sit and free up our minds from past conditioning, and at the same time protect it from being sucked into the vacuum of the future. To be still in the present neutral mind zone, so you are neither here nor there, but centered at the core of your being, your pristine default consciousness.

[I think I just said something which my late zen/sufi sparring partner would appreciate. May Allah bless his soul.]

On a lighter note, yes good to sit quietly and meditate cos some of your burning questions, not even Google can answer. LOL.

Did you notice my absence? You missed me, didn't you? LOL.
