It was indeed a heart warming experience to be visiting one very impressive mosque in Hong Kong. Masjid Ammar occupies 2 levels of the 8-storey building known as Osman Ramju Sadick Islamic Center or simply 'the masjid in Wan Chai' according to Sister Insiyah who kindly volunteered to be our guide since the first time we met her at Masjid Kowloon at Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong.
The Masjid Ammar & Osman Ramju Sadick Islamic Center was officiated in 1981. Masjid Ammar was originally a small mosque adjacent to the first Muslim cemetery in Hong Kong. The oldest grave in the cemetery was dated 1864. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ammar_Mosque_and_Osman_Ramju_Sadick_Islamic_Centre |
