We all know the value of silence.
On many occasions, silence is a lot sweeter than words. It frees you up from the chains of meaningless words and guard you from losing gold i.e. time.
I think people who are in their old age, those who are in their fifties and above especially, should be more calculative about their time - time spent on unnecessary speech or action. I pledge to be selfish and be very calculative about my time when I turn 50 insha Allah.
This blog will be put to rest when we hit 1 million page views or when I reach 50, whichever is sooner. It will hit 700,000 clicks very soon.
I think even when we write we should be calculative and economize on words. That is a sign of maturity. When writing an email/letter to anyone on anything, be economical with words, that's what I have been taught. It reflects your attitude and professionalism.
I once received an email from a young woman who wrote to me out of unfounded suspicion and she had an emoticon like in every sentence! That's a distasteful writing style you know. And one need not use more than one exclamation mark. One is enough. That is if you have a polished punctuation mannerism. But of course it's your b_oo_y choice.
By the way, I am kinda flattered to know that there are a couple of young married women who are jealous of their husbands reading my ramblings and being in touch with me. And there are some older women in that category too. But hey, I pick my battles. I don't have to show up to every argument that I am invited to. LOL. Because time is precious. And these women, if I were them, I would rather spend time cleaning the house from flying cockroaches LOL.
Now, I shall be silent and stare at my lovely Tiffany amethyst ring : D
Alhamdulillahi hamdan yuwafi niámahu wa yukafi u mazidah

"In today's world, Amethyst is still a remarkable stone of spirituality contentment, known for its metaphysical abilities to still the mind and inspire an enhanced meditative state. Its inherent high frequency purifies the aura of any negative energy or attachments and creates a protective shield of Light around the body, allowing one to remain clear and centered while opening to spiritual direction."
