Shaykh Ahmad Dede at the Naqshbandi Zawiyah in KL 6 Dec 2012 |
Bismillah.
Alhamdulillah wa shukrulillah, we're grateful to have sat in his majlis tonight. Shaykh Ahmad Dede is an Indonesian residing in Holland. He is a mureed of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Adil Haqqani who has been traveling extensively, promoting whirling as a means of achieving a divine station.
He appeared as a man who was calculative about his words. He spoke with plenty of intermittent pauses as though he was waiting for signals from his murshyid and/or divine inspirations. His tausiyah was punctuated by singing praises for Allah and Rasulullah s.a.w and whirling which looked very natural and effortless.
Shaykh Ahmad Dede said he was merely conveying the words of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim. He said: "We should keep the music alive. We should support each other, for it is key to the happiness of the oneness of the brotherhood. Umat Muhammad is bonded with love for each other as a family. We are a divine family from the infinite ocean of the beauty of Allah. We are His manifestation of love."
He also advised the audience to be strong. The "time" is near. Beginning from Muharram this new year, no games anymore, no more jokes. The tajalli is coming. Don't mix with the ego. Be on the good side. Mix with Allah and His wisdom. Don't serve the ego, but serve Allah. We must be a servant of Allah. And pray to be strong, to keep always the glory of Allah. To breathe in reality, in and out so we become the manifestation of Allah and shine His beauty.
The followers of the Naqshbandi tariqa were encouraged to stick together, to be happy, singing and keep smiling. To come for zikir at the zawiyah regularly and to preserve the gatherings. That's what Almarhum Shaykh Raja Ashman would want from them.
Shaykh Ahmad Dede said he had been wanting to come to the zawiyah for so long so it was hard for him to leave. Also seated among the audience was one guest from Italy who didn't know about Shaykh Ahmad's presence in KL and was talking about Shaykh Ahmad to some friends at the zawiyah when the shaykh appeared, much to his astonishment mashaAllah. And the night before, about ten Buddhists who attended a gathering at the zawiyah had converted to Islam by the hand of Shaykh Ahmad!
Alhamdulillah wa shukrulillah.
