Bismillah.
It is a good habit to plant trees here and now for the good ol' Earth but it would be much more rewarding if you could plant trees in Paradise while you are here in this world.
In a hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah, it was said that for every word that we utter in the often-repeated kalimah:
Subhanallah wal hamdulillah
wala ilaha illAllah wallah hu akbar
Subhanallah wal hamdulillah
wala ilaha illAllah wallah hu akbar
Allah will plant us a tree that we shall own in Paradise. Isn't it beautiful? Imagine after each time you do Solat Tasbih where you will have recited 300 of that kalimah tasbih, you would have planted more than 300 trees which will be waiting for you in Paradise. And I'm sure in our lifetime we would have recited thousands and thousands of the tasbih and by God's grace, we will have a big and beautiful orchard reserved for us, InshaAllah.
So let's not just green the Earth but the Paradise too!
