Notes from Habib Umar bin Hafiz's Post-Fajr Lecture in Kuala Lumpur on 25th May 2023 | On Tasawwuf and the levels of certitude

Bismillah.

Credit: Nabawi TV Youtube channel

The venerable Habib Umar bin Hafiz hosted a post-Fajr lecture on a book entitled Kitab Mahiyatu At-Tasawuf.

Habib Ali bin Zaenal Abidin Al-Hamid translated his lecture from Arabic into Malay. The English translation below is by Al-Faqir to document Habib Umar's words in English for the benefit of our English-speaking readers, bi-iznillah. It is done based on a recording of the majlis on the Nabawi TV Youtube channel dated 25th May 2023.

Habib Umar began his speech by praising the Almighty for His great gift and the vastness of His bounties. This book [Kitab Mahiyatu At-Tasawuf] discusses the realities of tasawwuf and the signs of those who practice it. The book enlists terminologies on tasawwuf from the 2nd or 3rd Hijri based on available books and sunnah [at the time]. Since the discussion of tasawwuf relates to the aqidah of one who guards oneself or muraqabah [attentiveness] towards Allah, thus it pertains to noble character/behaviour, the author therefore, begins the book with the recited verses.

The verse recited in Arabic reads: Allah the Creator of Heaven and the Earth is All-Knowing of all His creations. Allah is well aware of the attributes of the heart, thus Allah says in the verse, Allah knows all that your heart and soul contains, therefore you should be wary.

The book continues with the proclamation of shahadah and the verse about Allah being present with His servants. As per the words of Allah in the Quran, no speech is uttered in secrecy among three people, except that He is the fourth, amongst them, and so on and so forth. Regardless of the number of people in a conversation, He is with them no matter where they are. Allah will reveal their conversations in the Hereafter, verily He knows all.

The book continues with the witnessing of the Prophet Muhammad, as a testimony of certitude towards the messages that Allah had given to all former prophets and Rasul. Prophet Muhammad was sent to acknowledge the previous messages and as a seal of the Prophets. It is Allah's prerogative to manifest the Prophet as he was, despite the will of the disbelievers (mushrik). Allah then speaks His words to His Rasul on the characters of the Prophet. As stated in one verse of the Quran, "O prophet, we have sent you as a messenger of glad tidings, a warner and one who calls people to Allah by His will and you are a source of light. Convey to the believers of a great bounty from Allah.

Any and all praiseworthy attributes can be found in Prophet Muhammad's [pbuh]. And Allah made an oath to mention so in the Quran. As stated in Surah Al-Qalam, Allah says: "Nun, consider the Pen and all they write therewith, indeed he (the Prophet) is of a great moral character."

The tasawwuf scholars defined the term tasawwuf as akhlak (character). He who improves his character is said to have also increased his tasawwuf. Allah says in the Quran of His gifts for the believers, a prophet among them, whose role is to read the words of Allah, purify their hearts and souls, and teach them from the books and teach them wisdom, though they were clearly misguided.

'Wayuzzikihim' as mentioned in the book, means to purify the heart and soul and is meant to emphasize the significance and realities of tasawwuf. The reality of tasawwuf is of those who purify their hearts and souls, hence they are the people of tasawwuf.

As stated in another verse of the Quran about a Prophet among you, who is displeased by any burdens that may befall you, one who is eager to help save you, and one who is empathetic towards the believers.

Salutations to the Prophet! By making salutations to the prophet one could thereby purify one's heart and soul. One who earnestly makes salutations to the Prophet will be purified by Allah, and Allah would facilitate him/her to get closer to the Prophet and Himself. As said one companion, I will occupy all of my time to make salutation to you O Prophet.

The book summarizes the essentials of tasawwuf so that it would be easier for you to benefit from it. The terminologies offered in the book describe the components of tasawwuf and also its virtues. The definitions of tasawwuf terminologies provided in the book include many other definitions of the subject. [audio lost].

The people of Tasawwuf are those who truly embody their relationships with Allah through Ihsan, Islam and Iman. As such, the person will be perfectly guided in his moral character and exhibit the right behaviours hence attracting love from Allah for him/her. Those who wholeheartedly display the attributes and moral character until it becomes his/her reality. By having the correct understanding of tasawwuf and by manifesting the qualities of tasawwuf, his/her behaviours will appear noble and he/she will become praiseworthy.

The second definition of tasawwuf is to widen one's certainty of knowledge (ilm yaqin) to include ainul yaqin (certainty of witnessing) and to understand its realities. The meaning of ilmu yaqin is one whose heart is resolved to do good deeds. This is the beginning of tasawwuf. When one progresses from ilmu yaqin to ainul yaqin he/she begins to see the invisible as a manifested truth. Ainul yaqin is reserved for those elect who are worthy in the eyes of Allah. When one is steadfast on the level of ainul yaqin, he/she will then progress to haqqul yaqin. This lofty level is typically granted to the prophets (anbiya) and those among the siddiqin and awliya.

The analogy between the three, ilmu yaqin, ainul yaqin and haqqul yaqin is such that someone informs you of a glass of water. If the informer is one whom I do not trust then I will not have ilmu yaqin on the information that he/she has conveyed to me. I will doubt it.

If the informer is honest and trustworthy, I therefore have a reason to believe the informer and as such I will have obtained ilmu yaqin. If I were to be given the same information from more trustworthy sources, I would have greater certainty on the matter.

If the informer had also made a sound by knocking on the glass and I heard it. This would heighten my certitude in ilmu yaqin. There are many levels of certainty in ilmu yaqin. The same analogy applies to the messages that Allah has sent us about Islam and iman (belief) in the hereafter, in Allah and His Rasul and all that is listed in the six pillars of faith (Rukun Iman). The level of our iman or certainty of knowledge on these matters varies among us.

If I were to enter the room where there is a glass of water and I see it with my own eyes, this would make my certainty stronger, that of ainul yaqin. As I get closer to the glass, the degree of my ainul yaqin increases. Likewise, if I could get to the glass to hold it and see its contents. Many awliya among the ummah is at this level of ainul yaqin. And the elect among the awliya is even higher in their level of certainty at haqqul yaqin - those who hold the glass and taste the water.

As said Imam Abdullah al-Haddad in his poetry: acquaint yourself with the Quran and follow the sunnah of the Prophet and the salaf, the ahlul yaqin - people of certitude those who are at ainul yaqin and haqqul yaqin, those who arrive at the reality of their relationship or knowledge (makrifah) of Allah. The taste of such certainty is the sweetest of drinks for us. Therefore, drink it, for it is beyond your imagination. May Allah let us savour the drink of certainty, elevate us in ilmu yaqin, and onward to ainul yaqin and bless us with Your generosity so that we shall all arrive at haqqul yaqin. There is nothing more sacred regarding certitude than one that descends from heaven to the earth.

O Allah, we are gathered here with all who are present here, we raise our hands to You O Lord so that You grant us your mercy (redha) and grant us ilmu yaqin, ainul yaqin and haqqul yaqin. And perfect Your gift to us so that we will be among the people of haqqul yaqin.  We gather here solely for Your sake.

The third definition of tasawwuf is one's effort to progress the path of Islam and iman to get closer to Allah and attain gnosis (makrifah) of Allah and to seek His love for His sake. Imam Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah bin Faqih said about the physical manifestation of Islam, iman, Ihsan and makrifah. That these definitions of tasawwuf complement one another. And the definitions may be concluded with one that is most complete which is to perfectly follow the sunnah of Rasulallah. The "fruit" of following the Prophet, is the love of Allah, as stated in the Quran: "If you love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you..." Know that all good lies in following the Prophet who grants intercession.

Now that we understand the definition of tasawwuf, who are they? Who are the people of tasawwuf? Who are the Sufis? The Sufis are those who have reached the fruit of their good deeds, the fruit of their noble characters for they have in reality exemplified the characters as commanded by Allah, they have won the love and mercy of Allah, and they are the Sufis.

One cannot be called a Sufi unless he/she has reached the level of ainul yaqin, he/she is a mutasawwif, that one aspires to become a Sufi. A group of people who are confused about tasawwuf or Sufi asked Shaykh Muhammad Abduh Yameni if he was a Sufi, and he replied, "If only I was a Sufi. I am not one. I love them."

Those who lack understanding of tasawwuf or Sufi could cause confusion and mislead others. The steps to attain the level of a Sufi have already been clarified in the hadith of the Prophet relating to the concept of Ihsan, that one should worship Allah as if one sees Him, and if you do not see Him, know that He sees you. As for those who love the Sufis and strive in following their footsteps, but have yet to reach the level of ainul yaqin, they are the mutasawwif, they are the Sufi aspirants. And those who love the Sufis but whose efforts are somewhat lacking, are neither Sufis nor mutasawwif, they merely adore the Sufis. This matter is related to a hadith about one who mirrors a people, for they are regarded as among those whom they try to emulate. This hadith tells us the significance of trying to imitate or emulate someone. One who tries to imitate someone has a chance of belonging with those he/she is trying to imitate.

Imam Abdullah bin Abu Bakar Al Idrus, an arif, expounds on the realities of Sufi. Imam Abdullah Al-Haddad acknowledged the lofty position of the former for his ability to foretell an event. Imam Abdullah defined a Sufi as one who is on the path towards Allah.

The third group is those who try to emulate those who adore the Sufis but are not as steadfast, they are known as "mutashabbihul mutashabbih." A hadith that is relevant to this situation states that one who loves a group of people is considered among those he/she loves. In another hadith, the prophet is asked about one who loves a group of people but whose deeds are not equal to theirs, the Prophet replied: one will be gathered with those whom he/she loves.

These are the signs of the people of tasawwuf: they understood the contents of the Quran and Sunnah. This is the fundamental of tasawwuf. One cannot possibly perform any good deeds properly without having a fair understanding of the kitab and sunnah. This is related to the definition of tasawwuf as given at the beginning of this session.

One will find numerous people of tasawwuf and those who love them, in the sanad of qiraat knowledge, tafsir, and even hadith. Imam Malik's Al-Muwwata also has Sufis in its chain of transmission. Similarly, Kitab Musnad by Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim including those by Imam An-Nawawi and all the classic references on fiqh by Imam Shafie, Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Malik and Imam Ahmad.

It suffices to conclude that the people of Tasawwuf who expounds on Islam and all its branches of knowledge, they are the protector of the religion.  Imam Junaid ibn Muhammad, the leader of the people of Tasawwuf of Baghdad said, "Those who do not memorize the Quran or write the hadith cannot be followed for our knowledge is based on the Quran and Sunnah. That our knowledge has its basis in the hadith. I will not easily fall on claims or dreams unless it is in line with the Quran and sunnah."

Verily, one who claims to be kashaf or performs miracles that is against the kitab and sunnah is a liar. Those who believe such a person is ignorant. As narrated in a hadith, if Allah wants a person to be good, He will grant him/her an understanding of the religion. And certainly, Allah will not appoint a wali among those who are ignorant. Imam Abdullah bin Abu Bakar Al-Idrus said I see very few people on the path of haqiqat so many ignorants tend to make false claims. It is impossible for one who lacks knowledge and good deeds to arrive at haqiqat. Only one out of 70,000 people can attain such a level. That shows how difficult it is to achieve it. Imam Abdul Rahman As-Saggaf and his grandfather Abu Bakar Adni are said to have perfect certitude and Shariat. According to Imam Abdul Rahman As-Saggaf, any knowledge that is devoid of amal is considered null and void. Any knowledge and amal that is absent of a niyyat are worthless. Any knowledge, amal or niyyat that is not following the Sunnah is not accepted. Any, knowledge, amal, niyyat and sunnah that lacks piety (waraq) might result in a great loss and humiliation on the Day of Reckoning.

So, all that has been described is the summary of the path to Allah. When Habib Ahmad bin Zain Al-Habshi asked his guide, Imam Al-Haddad about the meaning of the realities of Tariqat Tasawwuf, he said it consists of five: knowledge, good deeds, fear of Allah, sincerity, and piety. And that is one of many attributes of the people of Tasawwuf. May Allah grant us such an attribute.

Imam Abdul Rahman As-Saggaf emphasized the importance of keeping a close connection with the Quran and reading it consistently so that he/she can complete the Quran once in the morning and once in the evening and increase the frequency to two, three, and four khatam. These are the people of the Quran. They are very close to Allah.

They are the guided ones. They are contented with the gifts of Allah. They have no other intentions except Allah. They keep close company with the Quran. May Allah bless us with their blessings. May Allah guide us on account of their holiness. Let us die in their path while we are safe from fitnah.

May Allah protect the ummah from both seen and unseen fitnah. Grant those who are present at this majlis ilmu yaqin and haqqul yaqin. Grant us an understanding of the religion. That we may follow the Prophet Al-Amin. Let us not leave this gathering unless You have granted Your mercy and maqbul. Keep us guided under all circumstances.

Rejab practice as recommended by Habib Umar bin Hafiz for Rejab 1443 Hijri (2022)

Bismillah.

Alhamdulillah it's here, the azkar prescribed by Habib Umar bin Hafiz for Rejab this year.

Like many, I've been waiting for this. May Allah grant Habib Umar a long healthy life and allow us to continue benefitting from all his good counsel. As Habib Umar said in one of his many talks that I'd listened to, we need not be near him, all we have to have is a strong heart connection with him and a strong himmah to want to practise all the recommended azkar that he would consistently share in Rejab, Syaaban and Ramadan each year.

They say a true leader is one who can motivate you to act. I'll also say from my experiences as a struggling salik, Habib Umar bin Hafiz has been the one who has a strong capacity to direct the heart towards Rasulallah salallah alaihi wasalam and thereby encourage the tongue to make many selawat.

For someone at my age who's travelled the path that has been destined for me, the so-called worldly accomplishments that I may have accomplished and those that I see people accomplished, I am of the opinion that the only one true wealth (achievement) that matters is a person's ability to keep a consistently good connection with the Prophet salallah alaihi wasalam through selawat. That's it. If one understood this, then one could easily cancel out the noises and distractions that one may encounter along the way.

May Allah guide us in performing actions that He loves and may our hearts remain connected with His beloved Rasul and the solehin.
Aamiin.

Welcoming roseate Rejab 1433 Hijri (2022) | Lessons from Habib Umar bin Hafiz

Bismillah.

It's the second day of Rejab. Its wonderful vibe is becoming apparent. I have just listened to a tausiyah streamed live from Majelis Rasulullah FB. Ustaz Ahmad Afif Abdullah (pic) began by sharing the remarks made by the venerable Habib Umar bin Hafiz pertaining to the arrival of Rejab.

Habib Umar elucidated the oft-quoted saying about Rejab being a month for sowing [the seeds of one's ibadah], Syaaban a month for watering the seeds and Ramadan a time to reap the fruits that one has sowed. So what do these analogies mean? To live Rejab means to repent truthfully, that is to aim for hakikat taubah (ultimate repentance), that is to admit one's mistakes, to have a strong resolve in not repeating them and to show remorse for one's misconducts, and to refrain from committing makruh deeds, let alone the haram (forbidden).

In Syaaban, one waters one's good seeds by nurturing the longing one has for Allah and Rasulullah, longing for the rewards that Allah normally would grant to the solehin. To water the seeds with plenty of affection and selawat for Rasulullah. When making selawat for the Prophet salallah alaihi wasalam, be conscious of the quality. Sit facing the qibla and establish a heart connection with the Prophet. Just recite a few selawat but with high quality, by invoking one's longing and love for Rasulullah. If you can do more while maintaining the quality, then that would be better.

In Ramadan, one may anticipate three bounties from the Lord, on account of the seeds that one sowed in Rejab and nourished during Syaaban: that is obtaining His mercy, earning His pardon and getting protection from the torments of hellfire.

Therefore, sow the good seeds in Rejab. If you do not sow, how can you expect to enjoy the fruits in Ramadan? If you don't water the seeds well in Syaaban, they won't grow and you'll have nothing special to look forward to in Ramadan.

Allahumma bariklana fi Rajaba wa Syaaban
wa ballighna Ramadan

On a personal note, I am just grateful that my family had recently hosted yet another gathering with our Huffaz friends. In conjunction with the event, I laboured wholeheartedly cleaning and prepping the house. Now with the arrival of the three auspicious months Rejab, Syaaban and Ramadhan, I can enjoy being at home especially spending time at my new desk in my neater Study, now that I have decluttered and reorganized all my stuff. Truly grateful for the tawfiq from Allah subhanahu wa taala! Alhamdulillah wa shukru lillah.

A new prayer taught by Habib Umar bin Hafiz for Syawal 1442 Hijri

Bismillah.

Alhamdulillah for the blessings of Ramadhan. Here is one fitting new selawat and du'a taught by Habib Umar bin Hafiz on the 3rd of Syawal 1442H, so that by the syafaat of Rasulullah, Allah would increase and preserve the blessings that He has bestowed upon us and that He would make us have gratitude for it.

I wrote it on my flashcard and I wanted to have it here as well as it would make it easier for me to memorize Insha Allah.

O Allah, O bestower of blessings,
bestow abundant prayers and peace upon Your slave and beloved, our Master Muhammad, the Prophet,
the greatest blessing
and upon his family and companions.

Expand Your blessings upon me,
bless me with gratitude for them,
and prevent them from disappearing.
Bestow Your blessings upon me
as only You are worthy of doing
in every time and state
inwardly and outwardly

Allahumma ya Allah ya Mun'im

Ahlan wa sahlan O Shaaban!

Bismillah.

God bless the team at Muwasala for keeping us connected with the much adored Habib Umar bin Hafiz.

You might have noticed the posting on Muwasala FB that the much-awaited azkar for Shaaban 1442H was announced two days ago. YaHuu!

We are to recite the recommended selawat 7000 times or more.
I have done a thousand so far, Alhamdulillah.

Take note that even if one seems riya' (showing-off) about his/her selawat, it still counts, so I learned somewhere. But do not take my word for it cos no one should believe anything found on the internet lol unless the source is a credible scholar like Habib Umar.

There's a lot of truth about the riya' bit. One cannot help but feel excited about sending salutations to the Prophet salallah alaihi wasalam because it is simply pure joy. It has nothing to do with a third party because it is a direct channel between you and the Prophet sallallah alaihi wasalam. Amazing eh? But of course, as they say, Man lam yadzuq lam yadri.

You might also notice in several of the selawat which Habib Umar had recommended in the past, including the one for the recent Rajab, there is a recurring theme on asking Allah to remove sadness from the heart - wa az hib huzna qalbi.

May Allah continue to guide us and make it easy for us to act upon any recommended azkar or deeds that could bring us closer to Him and His beloved Rasul salallah alaihi wasalam.

Let's (spiritually) fly to Madina and let our hearts be forever free of sadness.
Aaamin.

Allahumma salli wa sallim 'ala Sayidina Muhammad
wa 'ala aali Sayidina Muhammad wa sohbihi
wa 'ala nabiyika Hud
wa lakal hamdu fil uula wal aakhirah
[all praise belongs to You in this life and the next]
waghfirlana fil aakhirati wal uula
[forgive us in the next life and in this life]
wa az hib huzna qulubina
[and remove all sadness from our hearts]
fid dunya wal aakhirah
[in this world and the hereafter]

Rajab Reflections| Rajab 1442 Hijri/Feb 2021

Bismillah.

In the long run, it would prove useful to have this documented here bi-iznillah. The blogosphere, though a passe as far as the current socmed lingo is concerned, its searchability is incomparable.

Rajab Shahrullah is here, Alhamdulillah. It is the month of Allah, thus it's best to strengthen our resolve that all else fall second-place i.e. the unrelenting noises, save He.

Let each action we take serves as a spoke of the wheel directing us towards the redha of Allah. Ilahi anta maqsudi wa redhaka matlubi. Speaking of redha, I learned from a majlis taalim live-streamed from Masjid An-Nur Glenmarie in Malaysia, about four levels of provisions (rizq). Yes, only four. Ustaz Mohd Hazizul Ghouth quoted Shaykh Mutawalli As-Sya'rawi on those four levels of rizq. Guess what, the lowest is one's properties, the highest, as you might guess is Allah's redha. So if you are blessed with the highest level of provision, you need not worry about the other three i.e. if you had enough properties, if you did not have good health or pious children who'd pray for you. Allah's redha is the numero uno mission as it is the ultimate vision one should have.

That said, I remind myself to be cognizant of other worthy goals to have as a Muslim, better still, a Mukmin. The Quran, as pointed out by Ustaz Hazizul is for the Mukmin, not Muslim, mind you, as stated in the Quran: zaalikal kitaa bula rai bafi huda lil muttaqin.

As you may be aware there are plenty of good goals that we should be aiming for as propagated in the Quran but this faqir will only mention a few that she is aware of and strive for, like having mahmudah qualities, having qalbun salim, exhibiting sobrun jamil, being blessed with saadah and being amongst the saabiqun khairat, tholabul ilm and ulul albab.

I think the ultimate...truly ultimate goal is to be deserving of Allah "taking over" if I may say so, of our hearing, sight, hands and limbs...subhanallah so then we can be sure we will not hear, see, do or move based on our lowly personal motivations under the delusions of our ego, desires, greed, hubbul jah and what not. That divine "take over" is as mentioned in a hadith qudsi. It is a lofty reward for those who toil through the nawafil acts.

Alright, let's get on with these Rajab "prescriptions" from the venerable Habib Umar bin Hafiz, may Allah make us benefit from his counsel.

For ease of reference, the first istighfar is from Ali-Imran:147; the second is from Al-Mukminum:118 and the third is from Al-Araf: 23. Habib Umar recommends that we recite each for 5000x, including the selawat.

Allahumma solli wa sallim
'ala Sayidina Muhammad
wa 'ala aali Sayidina Muhammad
waq firli fil aakhirati wal uulaa
wa az hib huzna qalbi
fiddunya wal aakhirah.

O Allah, I dare not complain about any of the seemingly unpleasant circumstances, for Your blessings have outweighed them. To name but one blessing that I am humbled and deeply grateful for is that You have made it easy for my tongue to memorize a handful of selawat taught by Habib Umar all these years. Alhamdulillah wa shukrulillah. I am thankful so please grant more.

Zikir for Shaaban 1441 Hijri as recommended by Habib Umar bin Hafiz

Bismillah.

Assalamualaikum warahmatullah,

Let us all act upon this assignment. To state the obvious, Habib Umar is recommending it to us for our own good, in this world and the hereafter.

May Allah grant us the tawfiq to act upon it. May Allah make our tongues light and inclined to lofty affirmations. May Allah enliven our hearts with the remembrance of His Essence.

Aamiin Allahumma aamiin.

Habib Umar bin Hafiz's recommended practice for the month of Rejab 1441 Hijri [Year 2020]

Bismillah.

Alhamdulillah wa shukrulillah, we have reached the beginning of the three best months - Rejab. May Allah let us live to see Shaaban and Ramadhan. Aamiin.

Below is Habib Umar's recommended practice for Rejab.
We are encouraged to recite it 3000x or more.

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ لِما يَعْلَمُهُ الله
 أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ كَما يُحِبُّهُ الله
Astaghfirullah lima ya’lamuhullah
Astaghfirullah kama yuhibbuhullah

I seek the forgiveness of Allah for everything that He knows;
I seek Allah's forgiveness in the way that He loves.

May Allah capacitate our limbs to keep busy in the ways that are pleasing to Him.

May Allah make it light for our tongues and hearts to make plenty of istighfar every single day of Rejab.

May Allah forgive you and me for everything that He knows about us. May Allah forgive you and me in the way that He loves.

Aamin Ya Rabbal 'alamin.

Habib Umar bin Hafidz in East Kalimantan - 17 Sept 2019 | Tabligh Akbar "A million prayers for Kaltim"

Bismillah.

"In case we don't get to meet again...let's convene at the well of Prophet Muhammad salallah alaihi wasalam."
"Promise...we shall meet at the well of Prophet Muhammad."
"May our faces recognize one another at the well of Prophet Muhammad."

"Praise be to Allah...for we are here to face the Lord. Direct our hearts to Allah. Make tawassul (connection) to the one who is closest and most noble in the sight of Allah."

"Be grateful that we have been created as the ummah of Prophet Muhammad even though we did not ask for it. One who knows the significance of this matter, Allah will not disappoint him/her.  Allah is Most Generous. He knows what is in the heart, He knows our minds, He knows our secrets and that which is even more secret. Allah is ever watchful of anything that appears in the heart. He knows what is coming next. O Allah, restore our hearts, a heart that will never be spoiled again. Make us istiqamah, and never to digress again."

"In every forty people among you, there is one wali. How many "group of forty" do we have here this evening? Imagine the number of awliya."

"We may be physically here, but in reality, we are at a grandeur place. The people of heaven are proud of you. Have certainty that none can grant mercy save Allah. None can protect us from calamities, save Allah. Is there a modern invention that is capable of preventing earthquakes? It is a sign of Allah's power. Calamities befall a nation on account of their misdeeds."

"Sayidina Umar pleaded to Sayidina Abbas Ibn Mutalib, asking him to make a petition to Allah for they had been suffering from a severe drought, and he did so because Sayidina Abbas was a close relative of Prophet Muhammad salallah alaihi wasalam.  Sayidina Abas began his du'a by admitting the fact that a musibah (calamity) befalls a nation due to their wrongdoings and that Allah would only remove the musibah if the people would repent. By the blessings of Prophet Muhammad, grant them their wishes. And instantaneously it rained in Madinah and Makkah."

"How much have we sinned? Our zahir and batin. Our hearts and limbs? None can forgive us except Allah. Let us improve our tawbah. Whoever is serious and sincere about making tawbah and determined not to repeat his/her mistakes, Allah will surely accept such tawbah. Let us all, everyone who is gathered here repent. Make a strong intention to pray, pay the alms, fast, and be dutiful to our parents, maintain good relationships. Those who have a tendency to lie, make an intention to guard your words. Allah loves that a person makes tawbah. He rejoices in His servants making tawbah more than someone who is happy at finding the treasures he'd lost. He is happy even though He has no need for His creations. Allah loves a servant who makes tawbah who makes an effort to purify him/herself."

"O Allah, make us among those who love to repent and correct ourselves. Purify us before we leave. Forgive us. Replace our wrongdoings with good deeds. We leave it to You O Allah for the wrongs we did unto Your servants. Let us convene with Prophet Muhammad. Make all who are present here to gather again at the well of Prophet Muhammad, people who make sincere tawbah. And when we are there, let us remember what is said here."

"O Allah, beautify our limbs with all kinds of servitude. Beautify our secrets with the lights of witnessing You. Grant us our wishes, both that concerns our religion and our worldly matters. Let's promise to reunite at the well of Prophet Muhammad salallah alaihi wasalam. And that we would know one another at the gathering."

Prophetic pass

Bismillah.

There is no doubt that Habib Umar bin Hafiz's actions have inspired many people to learn more, do more and become more. I will speak/write from my own experience with the hope that more people would want to read up/listen to Habib Umar's advice over the years especially on the importance of learning and reciting salawat for Prophet Muhammad salallah alaihi wasalam.

Thanks to the advancement of social media (yes, there are plenty of socmed pros too ok), yup, thanks especially to Muwasala who has been active on various socmed platforms in propagating lessons given by the venerable Habib Umar bin Hafiz, particularly on the various "new" salawat that the habib would ask people to recite in Rabiul Awal each year.

If you care to search, this blog has been following the annual Rabiul Awal salawat challenge (or rather amanah) since 2015. Except for 2018 cos I slacked in blogging.

It is interesting to note that the salawat which Habib Umar prescribed this year (2019) contains one same line with the salawat he taught us in 2015 - that is wa adzib huzna qalbi. It means: "remove the sadness in my heart."

So in 2015, he asked us to recite the recommended salawat for 10,000 times; in 2016 he prescribed the well known Salawat Fatih for 10,000 times; in 2017 another "new" salawat for 3,000 times, and in 2018 he tasked us with reciting another new salawat for 5,000 times.

This year the minimum recommended recital is also 5,000 times. Please refer to the posting dated 29 Oct 2019.

Habib Umar bin Hafiz is [I repeat] a true leader as he is able to inspire people to learn more, do more and become more. I am one of those, Alhamdulillah, who have been deeply inspired by the Habib. By his barakah, for 2019 challenge, I have been able to recite 3300 times, so far. Alhamdulillah. I am determined to exceed the 5000-target because according to Habib Umar, those who do more, will get more rewards from Allah.

I wish to impress upon the young ones in my family (some of them follow this blog) to make an attempt to learn salawat and make it a habit because I reckon, the merits for those who recite plenty of salawat are worth more than a million dollars. It is like the mother of all VIP pass there is. No, it is not comparable to the other mortals because Prophet Muhammad salallah alaihi wasalam is THE Beloved of Allah. Those other so-called VIPs, who cares?

I wish to remind you, O young man/woman, it does not matter how bad your days/years had been; it does not matter if some people cut ties with you, belittle you, or if for any reason you feel left out, it does not matter, as long as you keep an open express channel with Prophet Muhammad salallah alaihi wasalam. Reciting salawat is the Prophetic-pass, the only pass you will ever need. And it will sort out everything for you. Not only will it sort things out for you, but it will also elevate you. Elevate you it will, to a better consciousness, better peace of mind, and ultimately it could place you at a better "seat" in the Hereafter. Let those who take pride in their fancy superbikes or Ferraris or whatever, let them speed as they wish, but you, we, let us speed up on the express-lane to Prophet Muhammad.

OK?

It's been a week since I memorized the salawat which Habib Umar taught us this year. What do I feel? I feel so much calmer as I am able to recognize and discard all nonsense and just move forward with the salawat, hoping for more shafaat from the Prophet and more bounties from Allah. I also feel that 5000 is achievable. It's not that difficult if we really want it hard enough. I will be 50 next year, and I've made an intention to recite 50,000 salawat from now until my birthday month in the year 2020 InShaAllah, bi-iznillah. It would be the best birthday present one could give to oneself. Forget those thematic fancy birthday parties. Who cares? [We can have a much grander party if we get admitted to Heaven. I am already dreaming about my hairstyles there LOL]

And do not be shy about it. Don't be shy talking about it, just as I am not shy about sharing and promoting it. Because as said Habib Umar bin Hafiz, and I quote this from Muwasala FB:
"Those who spread, share and publish prayers upon the Prophet salallah alaihi wasalam are among those who are closest to him because they will have the reward of all those who bestow prayers upon him as a result of their efforts. They have a high rank in the sight of Allah and His Messenger salallah alaihi wasalam."

Who cares about being a celebrity in this world? Who cares about having tonnes of followers on IG or having a blue-tick next to one's name? We should care about having a high rank in the sight of Allah and Prophet Muhammad.

Our path is one that is private and direct to the one man that matters most - Prophet Muhammad salallah alaihi wasalam.

So hurry up!

The Salawat prescribed by Habib Umar bin Hafiz for Rabiul Awal in 1441 Hijri/2019:
Allahumma Ya Robba
Sayyidina Muhammad wa ali Sayyidina Muhammad
solli 'ala Sayyidina Muhammad
wa 'ala ali Sayyidina Muhammad
wa soh bihi wasallim 'adada 'ilmik
wa az hib huzna qalbi (remove sadness from my heart)
fid dunya wal akhirah (in this world and the hereafter)

wa far rij kuruba ummatihi (relieve the hardship of this ummah)
wa hawwil ahwa lahum (and make their state)
ila ahsanil ahwal (the best possible state)
Ya Rahman

An English translation of the speech by Habib Umar bin Hafiz, delivered at Monas, Indonesia on 24 September 2019

Bismillah.

Alhamdulillah, praises be to Allah, our foremost praises, befitting the greatness of His blessings and gifts.

There is no God but Allah, who is omnipotent and without equals. In His hands reside all matters and everything shall return to Him. For a person to truly comprehend his/her Spirit in this regard, for him/her, there is no bigger pleasure. There is no person greater in nobility than Prophet Muhammad salallah alaihi wasalam. We are gathered here by virtue of Allah's greatness and by virtue of the Prophet's preeminence.

Who is the one who assembled you here?
Who made you present?
Who gave you the strength for you to turn up?
Who lets you join the gathering at this place?

Should the entire creations plotted for someone to attend and if Allah does not will for the person to be here, he/she will not be here. It is Allah, Himself and His Essence who made you present. It is Allah the Almighty who brought you here. True indeed, it is He Allah who lets us convene here.

The intention that was rooted in your heart to attend [this majlis] and the capacity that was present in your limbs that enabled you to be present, all are by the permission and the will of Allah. It is Allah the Almighty who gathered you by His blessings.
Why did Allah make you present here?
Why were you gathered here?
These are divine secrets of His Will and Power.
And these are divine secrets of His Will among men.
And His actions are never in vain.
And His divine will is never worthless.
Why did Allah bring you? Why did He make you present at this place? He alone, exalted is He, Allah!

Even though you were carried by the angels to come and gather here, given the fact that you were attending for the sake of acquiring knowledge, your presence was possible only by the strength and will from Allah. Indeed, Allah is great and His greatness cannot be fathomed, it is He who assembled you at this event.

Can you imagine this?
Can you feel it?
What do you reckon, the lesson that Allah wants to give?
Why did He make you come here?
And Allah it is He who brought you.
Who is Allah?

Allah is the One, who would bring together in the Hereafter, people of the past and those who would come in the future. There will be two groupings. One group will occupy the Heavens, and the other is destined for Hell.

Those who are in the Heavens are made of groups and batches. Those who end up in Hell are also made up of groups and clusters. What are these groups and batches?

Those who are grouped together in the world will be convened in similar groups at the Resurrection. Likewise, the groupings in the world are twofold. One group is meant to go to Heaven, and the other is Hell-bound.

As for the group who lacks vision and mission on matters of wealth, or ephemeral or any worldly matters, what do you think of them?

And those who are truthfully present, they would be convened by Allah, as one who is noble. Allah the Almighty enabled us to be present and the purpose and secrets of which are magnificent.

Therefore, reflect on our efforts and resolve so that we may attain the bounties that Allah has prepared for us.

Lures from our desires, devils, people, and jinn, would all influence us towards the groups that would disgrace and dishonor us. For example, music groups that perform songs containing negative lyrics. And those who watch obscene nude shows. Or groups whose mission is to discredit the Quran. Or groups who are intent on humiliating and inflicting danger on people. Or groups that do not conform to the Shari'ah. These are the groups who are bound for Hell.

Indeed, it is Allah who made you turn away from those ugly groups. Instead, He honors you by letting you join this worthy gathering. Therefore, be serious in making your heart present with Allah because none shall be beneficial for you in the Hereafter, save your steadfastness and truthfulness.

Allah says: Today is a fruitful day for those who displayed a strong resolve. Heaven is their reward, with rivers flowing underneath. They will dwell therein for eternity. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Allah.

Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Allah. Make your heart present and reflect on this statement. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Allah.

Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Allah. This is indeed an amazing outcome. This is an awesome achievement.

O Allah, make us, all who are present in this gathering and those who are listening to this program, make us reap a great bounty. O Allah, let everyone who is present and all who are following, all, everyone, achieve significant success.

Allah is the Lord of the Heavens and the Earth and all that it contains. He is powerful over each and everything. O Allah, You are our Lord, the sovereign owner of all kingdoms in the heavens and in the earth. One who is in control of each and everything. Make the attendees of this gathering and all who are listening and those who support it; make us obtain good fortune.

You have been given the tawfik (strength) to come here, and you have been given the tawfik to make du'a. You left your homes to be on the path of Allah. There is a hadith of Prophet Muhammad that says: 'Whoever travels in pursuit of knowledge, verily he/she is on the path of Allah until he/she gets home.'

All of you studied, you listened, you made zikir, you were brought to the remembrance of Allah and you remembered. And you glorified Allah and you professed La ila ha illallah. And you sent greetings and salutations to the Prophet salallah alihi wasalam. And you called upon Allah. You pinned your hopes onto Allah. You begged to Allah. You had your intentions for Allah. You pleaded to Allah. You spoke to Allah.

Allah is indeed closer to each one of us than our jugular veins. Therefore, focus your attention on Him. Firm up your resolve and be more determined about obeying Him, with all your heart and your limbs. This is a sign of your resoluteness with Allah.

Now that you have been granted this splendid blessing, guard yourself against the enticement of your desires and the devils, refrain from engaging in sinful conducts. Not with your heart, nor your limbs. Allah has blessed you with a body, as such do not use His bounties to go against Him.

O the Essence that created the eyes. O Allah, You know how the eyes have transgressed. Forgive our eyes and that of the audience who had misused their eyes. Protect our eyes for the remaining of our lives. Prevent us from using our eyes for evil deeds. Do not disgrace our eyes with sins and wrongdoings.

O Allah, make our eyes ready to gaze the faces of the Prophets, the saints and those who are pious. And those who lost their lives for Your sake. That we are able to gaze at the Heavens. Honor our eyes so that we are able to gaze at the countenance of the Lord.

Protect your eyes. We have plans to be together in the Hereafter. Prepare yourself for this gathering. Do you not care that you might miss the gathering just because of a small thing like a handphone? Or a blameworthy sighting?

I am truly worried about you, my brother. Think about it. You reflecting on a thing is part of ibadah. Do not lose out on wonderful opportunities, on account of a minor thing. Do not waste the opportunity to be with Prophet Muhammad, the warner, and bearer of glad tidings. Do not waste the chance to befriend this enlightened being.

Be serious about Allah. Leave all the sins committed by your eyes. Do not look down on a Muslim. Do not look at the world and all its glories and fascinations. Do not acclaim infidelity, wickedness, and evils by mingling with it or by praising those shameful acts. Do not laud evil for it is a grave violation and misdeed.

Do not make glorious anything save the shi'ar (signs) of Allah for these are the symbols of the religion. Among the greatest signs of the religion are the Prophets, the Apostles, the Kaabah and the Al-Quran.

Partake in the glorious Quran. Discuss and contemplate on the Al-Quran. Do not boycott the Al-Quran. Do not distance yourself from the Quran for therein lies plenty of light, gifts, and virtues. The five daily prayers are another great shi'ar of Allah. Earlier, you were reminded to observe the five daily prayers and to perform it in the congregation.

Those who use siwak prior to offering prayers would receive 70 times greater rewards than those who don't. We are being indoctrinated on using the latest electronic gadgets, but we are not being educated on siwak. You have to prevent yourself from being a shameful follower. Anything that is not favored by Allah the Almighty is blameworthy.

Consider the attributes of the noble people of the past. Allah says: Verily Allah adorns you with iman and beautifies your heart and Allah has made you loathe wickedness, infidelity, and evil. These are the people who are guided and blessed with His bounties.

Indeed, Allah is All-Knowing and All-Wise. Ya Alimu Ya Hakim, grant us your blessings and gifts just as You have bestowed upon those who are before us, the companions of your Prophet and his family. Gather us together with them. Strengthen our footing on their tariqa and their path. There are many thoughts that try to derail us from their path. Our children and women are being influenced by these notions. But we are not following them. Those who do, are foolish, they slipped. They disobey the orders of the Lord. They forsake the opportunity to follow the beloved of Allah, the chosen man Prophet Muhammad salallah alaihiwasalam. None shall achieve blessedness by disobeying the Creator. There are plenty of signs alluding to felicity that occurred among the righteous (Mukminin). In reality, they are the ones who achieve the honor. As can be seen in this world, the real benefactor of bliss is the Mukminin. Honor and glory belong to Allah, the Apostles, and the righteous. But the disbelievers (munafiq) do not realize this.

O Allah, educate our hearts. Do not allow a single speck of ingratitude in our hearts. Or stupidity that might cause us to join the hypocrites. Honor us with servitude towards You. And that we are able to humble ourselves before You.

This gathering is visible on earth but its pearls and diamonds will be in the heavens as we gain blessings and honor by attaining the blessings of Allah the creator of the heavens and the earth.

"Be witness O My Angels, that We have forgiven all of them." This is glad tidings from Allah which Prophet Muhammad had related.

Consider and reflect upon what we have just elaborated so that you understand the purpose of this gathering. Protect your limbs from wrongdoings. Do not let your tongue utter anything that is forbidden by Allah. Instead of backbiting, slandering or defaming anyone, let your tongue engage in zikrullah and selawat to Prophet Muhammad. Offer counsel to fellow Muslims and non-Muslims too. Your counsel toward a non-Muslim might become a cause for Allah to grant him/her hidayat (guidance) converting him/her from a non-believer to Islam. Whoever becomes the reason for anyone to receive hidayah, that is, in fact, better for him than the red camels. Therefore, enjoin yourselves in the battalion serving Allah so that you may be admitted as the armies for the Prophets and Apostles.  They are the true winners in this world and the hereafter.

Listen to the words of Allah. Listen to the words of Allah. And not the words of the lowly people. Not the speech of those who prevent people from thinking for their own good. [Unsure about this sentence as I couldn't figure out this part as clearly as the rest.]

Do not listen to people's speech. Listen to the words of Allah.

We will help our Apostles and the righteous who are with them in this world and during the resurrection, the day when no excuse will be granted to the oppressors.

You will see many world leaders who will be terrified and crying in the hereafter. You will see the millionaires in tears out of despondency and dejection. There will be many who, during their lifetime was so used to receiving applause whenever they appear, but their plea for pardon will not be accepted. That is the day when the tyrants will not be forgiven. They will be cursed and they will end up at a stinking abode.

"As decreed, We have determined for our servants who become messengers, that they will be defended and they will be victorious. Indeed Our armies will be made triumphant." These are the words of Allah. Have certainty and hold strongly to it.

Indeed, there has been plenty of unrest, chaos, and crisis that went on for years and years. Surely, those who deceived and tyrannized will be humiliated. None shall be destroyed and shamed except those who transgressed from the Lord of the heavens and the earth.

Be counted as one who is on Allah's side so that you may win His love and be near Him. Look at the legacy of Rasulullah salallah alaihi wasalam that is the tradition from the effects of his preaching and of Shariat.

So much so that the late Sayyid Munzir Al Musawa had become affiliated with it. He eventually followed suit, as he listened to the guidance of his teachers and applied it. He took the covenant to connect people with the Lord. He started off with a small group until light engulfed the hearts of those who listened to him. There were evildoers who repented and became devout believers. And they too continued the path. You are proof of the connections you have had with the inheritors of Prophet Muhammad salallah alaihi wasalam.

Allah showers upon this gathering much tranquility and peace. The fact that you are on the minds of those in the Heavens, is of greater value than you being regarded by people in this world. Indeed, the consequence of this majlis will be very significant in the hereafter.

Allah will call on the people gathered at the Resurrection. "Where are those who love one another for My sake? Where are the people who sit together for My sake? Where are they, people who visited one another for My sake? Who among you helped one another for My sake? On this day I shall place you under my Throne, this day when there is no other shelter except that which I have prepared."

May we belong with them and that we get enlisted with them. Therefore, let us become the armies of Allah. Invite all others to Allah.

Cleanse and purify your homes from the programs propagated by the enemies of Allah. Look upon your hearts. Purify your hearts from everything that is not favored by Allah. And protect your body and the seven organs: your eyes, ears, tongue, stomach, private parts, hands, and legs. Do not use them except for servitude towards Allah.

Certainly, Allah has honored you with Islam and iman. And among this group, you belong with ahlul sunnah wal jamaah. You are not misguided. Nor are you transgressing in your approach

We are not involved in discrediting the families and companions of Rasulallah. We do not brand anyone of us as infidels. Nor do we offend the mukminin. We do not kill other Muslims. We do not alter the creed by fusing it with influences from the non-believers. You abide by Imam Shafie on matters that relate to jurisprudence (fiqh). You follow Imam As-Shaari theology. And you are on the quest of cleansing and refining your hearts according to mahzab ehsan, a path led by the Sufis (ahlul tasawuf).

Hold on to these until the time comes for you to meet the Lord. We shall be together again in the Hereafter under the sacred banner of the Prophet (Liwal Hamd); at the well of Rasulallah; as we cross the Bridge (As-Sirat) and as we enter the Heavens. And we shall get everything in the Heavens. And we shall be together when we gaze upon the Holy Countenance of Allah!

O Allah, keep us together, Ya Rahman Ya Rahim. Place us in that row O Allah for You are Most Generous. O Allah, we are asking for a big favor and this is indeed a big group. And our sins are too numerous to count. Even though our sins are insurmountable, we have big hopes that You and the greatness of  Your Essence, could grant us this favor.

O Allah, indeed, our sins are beyond countable and this is such a huge gathering, but this does not stop us from having big hopes for Your vast mercy. There is no Essence that could forgive something that is big except the Essence that is supreme.

None could grant a wish so weighty, except the One who is Great. And all who ever felt great and important would fall short and disgraced before His Essence. Pin all your hopes to Allah. Be devoted to Allah, and ask from Him.

Think about this. Habib Sayyid Ali bin Abdul Rahman As-Saggaf is old and not in good health, yet he is present among us. What is it that made him come and be with us? It is because he understands haqiqah and he yearns for something precious and glorious.

The scholars (ulama) serve as a light for you. May Allah grant him good health and afiah. May we derive much benefit from the ulama and the righteous (solehin) who are still alive with us.

When you look at them the ulama, you will be reminded of Allah. Hearing them speak could increase your iman. And when you sit with them, you will become more attentive (khusyuq) towards Allah. These are true characteristics of those who are 'aleem. They are like lamps. Allah's mercy descends for their sake. As we lose more ulama, people will fall back.

We have lost two notable Indonesians. They were two luminaries. In fact, they were like two moons high above. They were  Al Habib Husin bin Abdullah As-Saggaf and Shaykh Maimun Zubir. And there were many other ulama and solehin who had passed away. May Allah grant mercy and elevate their standing. And that Allah would replace this loss by sending us great people like them, here in Indonesia and in every corner of this earth. May we benefit from the ulama who are still with us and that Allah will direct us to beneficial circumstances.

May Allah grant tawfik to Governor Anis Baswedan. May Allah strengthen his resolve towards Allah. And that he will be facilitated in carrying out his duties in the best possible manner. May Allah improve the affairs of the Rulers and their people, all governments and races. And that Allah will prevent provocations of the Shayatin and protect them from disunity.

May Allah protect our hearts and keep it safe from enmities. And that Allah would make each one of us as a cause for far-reaching compassion and love for one another. May Allah protect us from being the cause of harm and evil among Muslims. The best person is he/she who is beneficial to others. There is no deed that is more sinful after polytheism (shirik) than to cause harm and mischief to other people.

We shall now make du'a for one pious person who has just passed away in Yemen. His name is Habib Abu Bakar bin Husin bin Abdillah Al-Hadar. He was offering Subuh prayers in congregation. He returned home afterward to once again lead the Subuh prayer for his family. He then offered to serve his mother and passed away.

O Allah, elevate his stature. Make his grave a garden of Paradise. Replace this loss by giving us more solehin. Place his ruh at the highest Heaven. And that Allah will grant blessings to his families and children.

We pray for Allah's mercy to be granted to all who passed away among us and the audience, and all Muslimin. Whoever among them who is blessed with divine favors, we pray so that Allah will multiply the favors. And those who might be suffering in their graves, we pray so that Allah would forgive them and alleviate all their sufferings. May Allah grant us mercy when the time comes for us to die.

Come, let us enjoin the battalion of Allah. Magnify your hopes for Allah. Do not ever lose hope of His mercy and bounties. Do not give up in despair. Call upon Allah. Let us all call on Him together:
Ya Allahu Ya Allah
Ya Allahu Ya Allah
Ya Allahu Ya Allah
Ya Allahu Ya Allah

Know that Allah is listening to you now. He is watching you. You will not be forsaken when you put your hopes on Allah.
Ya Allahu Ya Allah
Ya Allahu Ya Allah
Ya Allahu Ya Allah
Ya Allahu Ya Allah

Indeed, Allah will answer our pleas. He will forgive those who are sinful. It is He Allah who could help us in this dunya and akhirah, we and our families and each and every one among us. And everyone in our country and all Muslimin. Ask of Allah, beg from Him. Surely you will receive honor and bounties by pleading to Allah.

There are many people in this world who beg from other than Allah. Yet, Allah has honored you. You raise your hands only to Allah. Extend your hands to Allah. Extend your hands to Allah. Humble yourself before Allah. Glory is our Lord, Allah. Indeed Allah is Most Generous.

He is Allah, O my beloved. He is Allah, O my brothers. He is Allah, O my brothers. He is Allah, O you who are listening to me.
Ya Allahu Ya Allah
Ya Allahu Ya Allah
Ya Allahu Ya Allah
Ya Allahu Ya Allah
Ya Allahu Ya Allah
Ya Allahu Ya Allah
Ya Allahu Ya Allah

Be kind and merciful towards us O Allah, Most Loving. O Allah, give us all that we hope for. Grant us our petitions. Cure those who are ill among us. Grant felicity to those on whom You are testing. We beg You, for a good ending (husnul khatimah). A perfect husnul khatimah. The best supplication is for husnul khatimah.

Let our last words when we die be La ila ha illallah. La ila ha illallah.

That we understand completely the true meaning of La ila ha illallah. And that we belong with those who are perfect in their comprehension of La ila ha illallah.

La ila ha illallah Muhamadur Rasulluh salallahualaih wa ala alihi wa sohbih wa salam fikulli lahdhatin abada adada khalqih waridho nafsih wa zinata arshih wa mida dakalimatih.

Al-Fatihah.

We apologize for this lengthy talk. However, all that we have conveyed to you, will prepare you for a long day, coming your way.
