Proclaim the Grace of your Lord! (Talqin Zikir)

Bismillah.

Every cloud has a silver lining. I was in a deep qabdhu (contraction/hardship) state the past two days and tonight it's so very basthu (expansion/ease) that I declare it to be Eidul Fitri. Alhamdulillah ala kulli hal. Praise be to Allah in all circumstances.

Yes, I was at heaven's garden (majlis ilm) tonite and my happiness and gratitude to Allah for being given talqin zikir by a student of the venerated as-Sayyid Muhammad bin ‘Alawi al-Maliki al-Hasani (1944-2004). Talqin means guided recital where a guru read out a specific zikir and then you follow his recitation immediately before he moves on the next line of the zikr.

This may be likened to the exercise of Mu'arada where Jibril would recite the Qur'an to Rasulullah s.a.w once annually in the month of Ramadhan and the Prophet would listen until it was his turn to recite, while Jibril verified his recitation. Only that talqin, in this case, was meant to formalize a particular zikir that the guru wishes to give to a student for him/her to practice.

The sanad of the talqin zikir as written in the booklet entitled 'Preparations for the Hereafter':

The faqir ilallahi ta'ala (poor to Allah) who has compiled this kitab (book) is: Ahmad Fahmi Zamzam (picture on right), Abu Ali is his father, Al-Banjari is his tribe, An-Nadwi is his qualifications, Al-Maliki is his title as conferred upon him by his guru (picture on left), Al-Shafi'e is his mahzab, Al-Shadhili is his tariqat, with the grace of Allah (he) has obtained this talqin zikir of Idrisiah tariqat from:
1. Abuya al-Sayyid al-Habib Muhammad bin Alawi al-Maliki al-Hasani hafizallah, who received it from his father,
2. Al-Sayyid al-Habib Alawi bin Abbas al-Maliki al-Hasani rahimallahu ta'ala, who received it from,
3. Al-Imam Sayyid Ahmad al-Sharif al-Mujahid rahimallahu ta'ala, who received it from his father,
4. Al-Imam Muhammad al-Sharif al-Mahdi al-Sanusi rahimallahu ta'ala, who received it from his father,
5. Al-Imam al-Sayyid Muhammad bin Ali al-Sanusi rahimallahu ta'ala, who received it from,
6. Al-Imam Sayyid Ahmad bin Idris, sohib al-tariqah al-Idrisiah rahimallahu ta'ala, who received it from,
7. Saiyidina Rasulullah s.a.w via yaqazah (in person).
And the zikir is: Lailaha illAllah Muhammad Rasulullah fi kulli lamhatin wanafasin adadama wasi'ahu ilmullah.
