He's made us drop our jaws
Yet again, He's silenced us all

and we saw how you stood up again
strong as Mount Fuji
beneath those graceful Sakura

pity you
who have touched our lives in many ways
One who is polite as ever

He shook you up
so the rest of us would wake up from years of slumber
while the cherry blossoms wither with tears

We are deeply sorry
May God have mercy on you and me
We are subjected to His Will
Between His two fingers
we know our fate not any better

He makes, He breaks
He is the Creator
to whom we shall return
sooner or later
