Allah Al Wali, Al Hafiz

Bismillah.

Alhamdulillah wa shukrulillah! Allah has protected us yet again and given us another 'second chance'. The last posting we did, could have been our final posting because Allah might have taken us back to Him. Inna lillah wa inna ilai hi raji'un.

It makes us think, if we had died, what will we have left and what will we have taken with us. It also reminds us of one 'funny' article on an interview with a British physicist, Stephen Hawking who said: "I regard the brain as a computer which will stop working when its components fail. There is no heaven or afterlife for broken down computers; that is a fairy story for people afraid of the dark."

Fortunately for us we believe that we are a spirit (ruh) from the Eternal, so that our thoughts or belief system transcend beyond anything physical such as the brain. Fortunately for us that we find it easy, in fact it's natural for us to believe in the unseen. What is God doing now? He is whispering into our heart these words we are writing. Who is God? He is our Creator who will make us go to sleep soon and He might or might not let us wake up tomorrow. He is the Creator of the illness that Hawking is suffering from while creating the rest of us more healthy. What's so difficult about believing in anything unseen, like love, hope, fear etc.?

Fortunately for those who believe in the unseen, they have got a good book. A book which had described how a man is created out of a blood clot even before science discovered it.

Alif Lam Mim.
This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear God. Who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them. (Qur'an 2:1-3)

Fortunately for us we believe in Muhammad the Messenger whose grave is visited by countless people. Perhaps some clever physicists should research on the energy that emanates from his grave and explain why so many people are so drawn to visit the grave of an 'ordinary man', the man many people look forward to meet after death.

Alhamdulillah, Allah has given us the gift of iman. What's the big deal about having iman? Nothing, just as simple as picking up a nail from the pavement for fear that it might hurt the next person who walks by. Why do we happen to have certain beautiful characters? Because we learned about some Beautiful Names. We could even see them, we could recognize among others, Al Wali - the Friend and Al-Hafiz - the Protector, in action.

Oh thanks to the unseen Friend and Protector who had saved us yesterday, otherwise Lisan al-Din would have been history. But we would be equally thankful if He decided to take us because then we might have a chance to see the heaven : ) something that Hawking doesn't believe in. But there is one statement of his that we could agree with: "We should seek the greatest value of our action."

Good night all! Thank God we are not afraid of the dark.

  2. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, I think many of us practise that too. And many of us still drive despite being sleepy.
I had fallen asleep more than a dozen times while driving 120km per hour for 100km! I can't believe I did that! Astaghfirullah!
    Allah Hafiz!
    Alhamdulillah!
