Indeed a guest cannot be choosy, let alone be rude towards the people of the household.
Remember this Eid (or anytime) before you enter a person's house, do say salam. If after the third salam you still don't hear a reply, you better move your butt out. And don't ever open the gate yourself or impersonate. You may be the boss and be gung-ho in your own house but you'd better leave that attitude at home.
